AUser Manager was developed to add extra features to the Joomla! core user manager. Members geolocation, spam detection and some ajax check like username availability
Using the IPInfoDB free IP address geolocation tools we are able to add users information like country, city, longitude and latitude with this additional info we can show user geolocation around the world, on backend you can view your members all around the world or you can see grouped by nation, don't forget that this feature to proper work needs a free api key from IPInfoDB In left image for example we show your germany members geolocation.
Ajax username check
Like more important site like Google or Yahoo, AUser let's check the username availabilty on registrattion, with Ajax ,ie without the need to reload the entire page, giving a more 2.0 web look to your site.
User can delete his account.
One of the most request features that lacks from Joomla! core user manager is the fredom from the users to delete his account freely without asking to the webmaster, in some country this feature is needed by law.
Using several anti-spam webservices like :ProjectHoneyPot, Botscout, StopforumSpam, FSpamList, SpamHaus, Spamcop, Sorbs, Akismet, Mollom, and Defensio, AUser help to fight spam. Before a new member registration these services are queryied to know if the newcomer user is already trapped by these antispam services denying registration, but this countermeasure could be not sufficient at the registration time cause maybe potential spammer has never recognized before, so AUser give you a later chanche to trap spammer with a backend cockpit.
